Mr. Robert "Bob" R. Timms, 89, of Meridian, Mississippi passed from this life into the next on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Diversicare. Bob was born in Chunky, Mississippi to the late Stevie Wallace and Lillie Mae (Jones) Timms on May 24, 1929. He retired from the federal government after many years of being a shop foreman. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mississippi. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, bowling a 300 game when he was 72. Bob is survived by his wife, Lucille VanScyoc Timms; a brother, Fred Allen (Glenda) Timms of California; nephews, Steve (Shellye) Timms and Daniel Timms. A graveside service for Mr. Timms will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11 AM with Pastor Steve Smith officiating at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hendrysburg, Ohio. There will be a memorial service at Calvary Baptist Church in Meridian at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio along with James F. Webb Funeral Home in Meridian, Mississippi.
