Robert F. Hunt, 95, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1921 in Guernsey County to the late Charles Louis and Jennie (Carpenter) Hunt.

Robert was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired truck driver for the coal industry, a member of the East Main Church of Christ, American Legion Post 578 in Quaker City, DAV Chapter 121 in Barnesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia A. (Warner) Hunt on May 16, 2015.

Robert is survived by his children, Neil Groves of Cambridge, Mary A. Jones of Barnesville, and Jim (Evelyn) Groves of Quaker City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City where military honors will be conducted by Guernsey County Veterans Council.
