Robert D. Gibson, Sr., 75, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1939 in Barnesville to the late Guy Hamilton and Clara (Hollingsworth) Gibson.

Robert was a US Army Veteran and was retired from R&F Coal Company. He was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, Friendship Lodge #89 F&AM, American Legion Post 168, VFW Post 2792, Seneca Sportsman Club, Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Brenda Frye.

Robert is survived by his wife - Sandra (Huntsman) Gibson of Barnesville; sons - Robert D. Gibson, Jr. of Barnesville and Richard W. Gibson of Barnesville; brother - Charles William "Bill" (Judy) Gibson of Barnesville; three brothers-in-law: Dennis (Carla) Huntsman, Keith Huntsman and Kevin Huntsman; two sisters-in-law: Kendra Powell and Barb (Pete) Thomas; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2-8pm with a Masonic Service being conducted at 7:30pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.  The service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 1:30pm with Pastor Richard Cox officiating.  Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Graveside Military Honors will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery.
