Ricky Alan Carpenter, 68, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 12, 1956 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Lester W. and Regina "Jeannie" (Pekari) Carpenter.
Rick was a 1974 graduate of Zane Trace High School. Rick worked for Higgins Building Company until he retired. He loved his children and grandchildren. Rick enjoyed dirt track racing for several years and was known by his racing family as "Hooch".
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his in-laws, Ted and Elsie Swallie; and brother-in-law, Bob Hoff.
Rick is survived by his wife, Kari Carpenter; children, Mick (Amy) Carpenter and Mindy (Brad) Thornburg; grandchildren, Brody, Sam, and Eliza Carpenter and Vonn, Vaya, and Voss Thornburg; sister, Connie (Dave) Bunting; brothers, Kim (Brenda) Carpenter and Monty (Mary Lou) Carpenter; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Hoff, Carolyn (Terry) Stephen, and Cindy Swallie, brother-in-law, Brian (Melissa) Swallie; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Honoring Rick's wishes, no services will be held. His care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
