Rick E. McCracken, a true American Hero, 65, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 3, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Norman Eugene and Edith (Miller) McCracken.
Rick is a United States Marine Veteran who served in Vietnam. He formerly worked in sales and marketing for Fleming Foods and most recently worked for the Spartan Nash Company. He was President of the Sportsman Haven Gun Club and a member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. Rick was a lifetime member of the NRA, DAV #121 and VFW Post #8487.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan McCracken; son, John (Shelia) McCracken of Oakland, Maryland; two brothers: Randy (Randi) McCracken and Rodney (Ruth Doudna) McCracken; three sisters: Linda (Gary) Bondy, Robin (Bill) Parker and Rhonda (Steve) Peavey; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Jake.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from noon until the time of the service at 2pm with Barb Hinkle officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
