Richard "Dick" Roy Hannahs of Canton, 72, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at his getaway at Seneca Lake.  He was born in Quaker City on June 12, 1940 to the late Corbin Carl and Grace (Brill) Hannahs.

He was retired from the maintenance department of the Babcock and Wilcox Company.  He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and a member of the VFW Post #8040.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Hannahs; sister, Becky McEndree; and brother, Danny Elerick.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Hannahs of Canton; 3 children: Richard "Rick" Roy Hannahs of Detroit, MI, Christina Lynn Knetsch of Canton and Teresa Hannahs of East Sparta, OH; stepdaughter, Vicki (Tim) Godfrey of East Sparta, Oh; 3 grandsons: Christopher Hannahs, Joseph Godfrey and Timothy (Jen) Godfrey; 2 brothers: Robert Hannahs of Canton and Gary Hannahs of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville with Pastor Rodney West officiating.  Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
