Richard L. Marmie, 73, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Mainstreet Group Home in Barnesville. He was born on February 8, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Joe Sall and Jessie Mellott.

Richard was a 1961 graduate of Beallsville High School.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents whom raised him, Fred & Nellie Marmie; aunts and uncles, Eleanor Mason, Charles Marmie, Carl Thomas Marmie, Louise Boatwright, Mabel Pastva, Robert Marmie, Elmer Marmie, and Dora Marmie; nephews, Jimmy Mellott and Jay Bucklew.

Richard is survived by his siblings, Marie (Robert) Bucklew of Virginia, Ben Mellott of Pataskala, Susan Mellott of Westerville, and Paul Mellott of Beallsville; 3 nieces, Christy Bucklew, Amber Jaegar, and Bamma Mellott; David Marmie and Evelyn Auble; and special cousins, Letitia (Steve) Temple and Debbie (J.D.) Burke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 11 AM until the time of the service at 12 PM with Fr. Dave Cornett officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
