Richard Lucas "Rick" Doan, 55, of Belmont, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Wheeling Hopsital. He was born on December 10, 1959 in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Richard and Eileen Fay (Lucas) Doan.

After graduating from Barnesville High School in 1978, he earned his Bachelors Degree from Miami University in 1982. He went on to Xavier University where he graduated with his Masters Degree in 1985. He was a Hospital Administrator for Barnesville Hospital for 25 years and co-owner of Doan Ford. He was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church, BPOE 1699, Ohio Hospital Association, Barnesville Hospital Board of Trustees, Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Barnesville Rotary for 27 years & past president, Paul Harris Fellow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife - Melissa Doan.

Rick is survived by his children - Thomas J. (Natalie) Doan of Westerville, Kelsey (Marcus) Guy of Barnesville, Charles Andrew (Mikayla Barcus) Doan of Athens, and Allison Doan of St. Clairsville; brother - Dr. Charles Randall "Randy" (Jill) Doan of Dover; sister - Janey Doan of Barnesville; grandchildren - Jack, Liam, & Elise Doan and Sydney & Adalyn Guy; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 2 PM until the time of the service at 8 PM with Rev. Tom Detling officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 4-10 PM at the Barnesville Grange, Shamrock Road, Barnesville.
