Rebecca Joan Johnson, 68, of Bethesda, Ohio met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Center. She was born on July 16, 1955, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Allen A. and M. Joan (Duvall) Shepherd.

Becky was a 1973 graduate of Union Local High School. While her kids were in school she was a cheerleader coach and was a faithful volunteer at Union Local School District. Becky was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church where she was an avid Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Shepherd.

Becky is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Johnson whom she married on October 6, 1973; three children, Jenny (Kevin) Richey of Barnesville, Angie (Bill) Tustin of Columbus, Georgia, and Matt Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Shepherd and Sloane Richey and Will, Zachary, and Katelyn Tustin; brother, Sam (Tommie) Shepherd of Lake Murray, SC; sister-in-law, Sandra Shepherd of Conover, NC; sister-in-law, Angie Shepherd of Texas; best friend of 65 years, Robin Duvall; and many cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 5pm until 8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Visitation will be held again on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:30pm until the time of the service at 2:30pm with Rev. Tom Detling officiating at Bethesda Methodist Church, 233 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
