Rebecca Jean Lynn, 79, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville. She was born on October 24, 1944, in Akron, Ohio to the late Lowell A. Disler and Dorothy Ellen (Clark) Greene. Becky was a graduate of Akron South High School and received her bachelors degree from Akron University. She taught elementary school in Akron before retiring from Barnesville School District as a third and fourth grade teacher. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and prominent member of the UMW. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Becky enjoyed camping, bird watching, and taking trips. She flew for the first time to visit the four corners of the United States with her sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" R. Lynn on March 16, 2019; brother, Norman Ellis Disler; and a grandchild, Jarred Clark Jordan. Becky is survived by her daughters, Elaine (Darrin) Spano, Tess (Allan Hoops) Riley, Diann (John) Jordan; grandchildren, Robert, Mariah, Megan, Chase, John T., and Jenna; great-grandchild, Oliver; four sisters, Linda Sterling, Cathy Shanks, Becky Kline, and Ruth Schaffter. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5pm until 8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 1pm with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Becky's memory to the Barnesville Main Street United Methodist Church, 123 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
