Ray A. Ryman, 92 of Barnesville, OH died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Barnesville. He was born February 14,1920 in Canton, OH, son of the late Louis Clifford and Anne Elizabeth (Adkins) Ryman. He was a World War II veteran who proudly served his country as an Army Staff Sergeant with the Mars Task Force in Burma. He retired from the United States Postal Service in Canton, OH. He was a member of First Christian Church, Barnesville, OH. Preceded by his wife of 62 years, Eileen C. (Willison) who he loved with all his heart. Also preceded by brothers, Harry, Paul Stanley, and Louis and by sisters, Audrey and Lanta.  He is survived by his son, Ray L. (Machelle) Ryman of Barnesville; daughters, Patricia (Chuck) McKelley of Texas and Mariann Tenaglia of Florida; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was a lifelong loyal Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed listening to classical music, watching musicals and Turner Classic Movies, reading many newspapers, and feeding the birds, chipmunks and squirrels; but most of all he enjoyed his family. When asked for advice for his children and descendants, Ray said "Love your country and respect your flag. My heroes have always been the men and women who died for their country in the past wars. Love your spouse and grow old along together. Love your children, your most prized possession. Honor your mother and father because you only have them for such a short time." All of his children and many descendants were blessed to have him in their lives for 92 years and we are comforted knowing he is with our mother again. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 5 until the time of service at 7:00pm with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. There will be a private entombment service at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton, OH.
