Patrick "Paddy" A. McCort, Jr., 85, of Temperanceville passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Astoria Place in Barnesville.  Patrick was born on April 9, 1936 in Temperanceville, Ohio to the late Patrick and Bertha (McLaughlin) McCort, Sr.

Patrick was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Temperanceville and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He loved Polka music, his Irish roots and his life-long best friend and brother "Joe" who he is again united with in heaven.  His smile will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He was affectionately known as Paddy by his father, family and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Surviving Patrick is his spouse, Norma Starr Lynch McCort; step-son, John Lynch and step-daughter, Peggy Lynch Kreider.  He also left behind four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his two sisters: Adelaide Moore of Zanesville, Ohio and Edna Steele of Bellaire, Ohio.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Father Dave Cornett officiating at St. Mary's Church in Temperanceville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
