Patricia Joan Giesey, 84, of Barnesville passed away September 12, 2020, at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab. She was born on June 27, 1936, in Calais, Ohio to the late Andrew and Margaret (Carpenter) Giesey. Patty loved reading books, putting together puzzles, and doing word searches. She loved traveling on every tour the elks went on with her friend Lucille Earliwine. Patty is preceded in death by 4 sisters; Lorena (Bill) White, Gladys (Earl) Morris, Bette (Roger) Keadle and Kathy (Bill) Stottler; and one brother, Branson (Betty) Giesey. Patty is survived by her nieces Marsha McCort, Marian Doty, and Sharron Dollison; several nieces and nephews, and special niece Shelly Jefferis. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing and masks will be requested at a memorial visitation on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11am with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Inurnment will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patty's memory to Hospice of Guernsey, 9711 East Pike Road, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
