Orlin Lee Thornberry, 73, of Barnesville passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born on June 6, 1941 in Belmont County to the late Harry O. and Lila (Miller) Thornberry.
Orlin was a Christian by faith. He worked for many years as a mechanic of Carpenters Sunoco until their closing and went on to retire from Bob's of Barnesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marple Kluskey; and two brothers: Laverne and Devaun Thornberry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years - Mary (Elston) Thornberry of Barnesville; daughter - Rebecca "Becky" (Robert, Jr.) Selmon of Shadyside; two grandsons - Andrew and Arin Selmon of Shadyside; sister - Maxine Ellison of Barnesville; nephews - Marlin Harper, Michael Thornberry, and Kevin Elston; niece - Teri Williams; two brothers-in-law - Charles "Butch" Elston and Lawrence "Larry" (Vickie) Elston; and beloved pets - Fritz, Fancy, and Reba.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 5 - 8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A second visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of the service at at 11 AM with Rev. Gene Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
