Norma Louise Carpenter, 90, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Valley Hospice North Care Center in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born on April 14, 1934 at her home in Barnesvillle to the late Hubert Glenn and Anna Marie (Reischman) Anderson. Norma was a graduate of Barnesville High School and a member of Assumption Catholic Church. She was loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Carpenter; siblings, Charles (Wilma) Anderson, Catherine (Emil) Boulet, Robert (Eileen) Anderson, Donald (Nancy) Anderson, Paul (Vivian) Anderson, Helen (Gus) Boulet, Dorothy (Floyd) Morris, John (Leona) Anderson, Jack (Louise) Anderson, sisters-in law, Karen Anderson and Phyllis Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Tom Jefferis and Gene Britton. Norma is survived by her children, Elizabeth (David) Stanley, Nancy Jane (Roger) Plumly, and Mark Carpenter; grandchildren, Melody (Mike) Drake, Jonathon Stanley, Natasha (Tom Zani) Plumly, Vanessa Plumly; great-grandchildren, Chloe Mae Wagner and Katerina Faith Zani; siblings, Larry Anderson, Ralph (Patty) Anderson, Rita Jefferis, Eileen Britton; sister-in-law, Jean Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 4-6pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00am at Assumption Church, 306 W Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio with Father Dave Cornett officiating. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice.
