Monica Markovich, 72, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at home. She was born on August 21, 1945 in Temperanceville, Ohio to the late Fred and Ursula C. (Ulrich) McLaughlin.

Monica was a 1963 graduate of Barnesville High School and later graduated from the Cambridge Cosmetology School. She worked for 35 years as a Bank Teller at WesBanco and the former First National Bank. She was an avid member of the Assumption Catholic Church where she was active in the Catholic Women's Club. Monica was the worlds best pie baker and made many pumpkin pies over the years for the Pumpkin Festival for the Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee "Tyke" Markovich on November 4, 2010; brother, James McLaughlin.

Monica is survived by a daughter, Marcia (Jeffrey Smith) Mandley of Barnesville; a son, Michael (Angela Zearott) Markovich of Barnesville; five grandchildren, Danah (Michael) Welch, Shayla Markovich, Hunter Markovich, Halle Markovich, Bailey Salatino; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Lydia, Anthony, and Abigail Welch; four brothers, John McLaughlin, Fred McLaughlin, and Ronald McLaughlin; five sisters, Bernadine McLaughlin, Marilyn McLaughlin, Margaret McLaughlin, Rita Byers, and Nancy McLaughlin; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, from 4 pm until the time of the vigil service at 7:45 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 11 am with Father Dave Cornett officiating at Assumption Catholic Church, 306 West Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville.
