Melissa A. "Mickey" McBurney, 89, of Barnseville died Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born October 21, 1922 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late David and Helen N. Pierce McBurney. She was a retired seamstress for the Belmont Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and the Barnesville Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: George McBurney, Roy McBurney, Ben McBurney and Gene McBurney; 3 Sisters: Katie Opphile, Barbara Frasher, and Thelma Douglass. She is survived by 1 Brother: David McBurney of Perry Heights, Oh; 1 Sister: Bonita (Bonnie) Gallagher of Barnesville; several nieces and nephews; 3 Sisters-in-law: Charlotte McBurney, Jenny McBurney and Zelda Barton; and 1 Brother-in-law: Richard Frasher. Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St. Barnesville, Ohio where service will be Saturday March 3, 2012 at 1 PM with Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
