Mary Carole Helms, 86, of Centerville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Emeral Pointe Health & Rehabilitation in Barnesville. She was born on July 18, 1937, in Armstrong Mills, Ohio  to the late Paul Joseph and Hazel W. "Haught" Junkins.

Carole was a 1955 graduate of Shadyside High School and she retired as a finance manager for Belmont County Board of Development Disabilities. Up until recently, she was still working for Sunrise Acres Ranch. She attended the Centerville Senior Center and was a member of the Shady Lane Baptist Church in Barnesville. She faithfully served beside her husband, Rev. Barney Helms at Hillcrest Bible Church in Belmont. She enjoyed drawing and attending anything the kids were involved in. She never met a stranger and was devoted to helping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Bernard "Barney" Helms; and a brother, Paul Junior (Paula) Junkins; and great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Grace Bostic.

Carole is survived by her three children, Tammy (Don) Bostic Weber of St. Clairsville, Greg (Karen) Helms of St. Clairsville, and Rick (Emmy) Helms of Centerville; four grandchildren, Rick (Karly) Bostic, Kadi (Matt) Cleverly, Heather (Brennan) DeLaney, and RJ Helms; great-grandchildren, Jozie, Reece, Jenner, Averie, Juddson, Jernee, Beckham, Briggs, Brooks, and one on the way; siblings, Jack Junkins of Mt. Vernon and Sue Junkins of Shadyside; and niece, Jacqueline Brooke.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2 -6 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11am with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Burial will follow at Armstrong Mills Cemetery.
