Marvin Arthur Gray, 77, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Liza's Place. He was born on December 20, 1944 in Quaker City, Ohio to the late Harry and Edna (Clary) Gray. Marvin was a 1962 graduate of Quaker City High School. Marvin was a welder and mechanic for the mine for many years. Although he was retired he had many jobs following retirement, most recently he worked for Advanced Auto in Barnesville. He was a member of UMWA and the Bethesda Sportsman's Club, an avid gun collector, and a NASCAR fan. Marvin was protestant by faith, but his most important role was being the best Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. His family meant everything to him. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by an infant son, Dale Allen Gray. Marvin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Gray; children, Rodney "Bean" (Ondra) Gray, Lori (Jim) Wells, and Angela Gray; grandchildren, Allen Gray, Tessa Gray, Dawna (Ross) Stowers, Devon (Amy) Goff, Destiny (Cary) Schmitt, Dustin (Victoria) Goff, Brittany (Jory) Spenger, Shelby (Nathan) Carpenter, Jamie (Morgan) Wells, Grayson Willis, Mikayla (Dorion) Willis, and Alayna (Cody) Willis; 22 great-grandchildren; and he was a "Dog Dad" to Charlie. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm with Dr. Brian Bee officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
