Marvin George Carpenter, 62, of Lewisville died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.  Marvin was born on April 23, 1953 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Clesson and Winnie (Nicholes) Carpenter.

Marvin was a 1971 graduate of Barnesville High School.  He worked as a laborer for Detroit Diesel in Cambridge, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Carpenter.

Marvin is survived by five sisters: Helen Anderson of Barnesville, Doris Haney of Woodsfield, Bonnie Stephens of Flushing, Margaret Wells of Barnesville and Vivian (Jim) Thornburg of Barnesville; four brothers: Ernest (Cindy) Carpenter of Barnesville, Leroy (Sara) Carpenter of Jacobsburg, Rocky (Helen) Carpenter of Barnesville and Harvey Carpenter of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 11:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio with Ev. Pat Gamp officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
