Martha S. Wells, 90, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling. She was born on March 19, 1934, in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Frank J. and Anna N. (Daily) Sanford. She was a faithful member of T.O.P.S. since 1979. She was a member for 62 years of the Nazarene Church in Barnesville and most recently attended the Bethesda Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Wells on March 3, 2013; great-grandson, Eli Wells; siblings, Frank Sanford, George Sanford, Blaine Sanford, Alvin Sanford, Dorothy A. Mooney, Arita Dunlevy, Arnold Sanford, and her twin brother Mark Sanford. Martha is survived by her children, Wesley (Molly) Wells, Rodney (Kelly) Wells, Diane (Tom) Burga, Donald (Tammy) Wells, and Todd Wells; ten grandchildren, Christopher (Brittney) Wells, Joshua (Morganne) Wells, Alison (Brennan King) Burga, Jarrett (Michele) Burga, Marrissa (Kody) Crooks, Alyssa (Steven) Shepherd, Jordan (Josh) Woodruff, Paige (Akira Nakaza) Hayes, Riley Wells, and Shane (Heather) Wells; 22 great-grandchildren, Nolan, Cooper, Maggie, Archer, Josie, Dallie, Quincee, Tripp, Hazel, Nash, Evie, Warren, Matilda, Caroline, August, Leah, Maxwell, Hattie, Sophia, Adilyn, Aubrie, Holden; and siblings, Keith Sanford and Mildred Merkow; sister-in-law, Norma Wells and Susan Sanford; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11am with Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
