Martha E. (Bethel) Groves, 95, of Flushing, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born on November 11, 1922 in Flushing, Ohio to the late Hobart and Pearl (Pancoast) Bethel. She was a 1941 graduate of Flushing High School. She was a member of the Flushing Methodist Church, member of the Flushing Garden Club, and was honored for 40 years as a 4-H Advisor. Martha was formerly employed by Hillandale Farm Egg Company and did sewing under the name, Martha's Fix and Stitch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Groves on March 30, 1983; brother, Arthur Bethel. Martha is survived by her three children, Mary Groves (Lonnie) Betts of Flushing, Jean Groves Rudnick of Flushing, and Donald Groves of Flushing; six grandchildren, Greg Betts, Chad (Traci) Betts, Cory (Becky) Betts, Chris (Ashley) Rudnick, Charles (Cortney) Rudnick, and Cody Groves; four great-grandchildren, Jenna Betts, Jeb Betts, Alyssa Betts, and Sierra Betts; and a brother, Orland Bethel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio and again on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Al Hoder officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Flushing, Ohio.
