Marie Evelyn Pfeffer, 93, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Summitt Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. Marie was born on August 10, 1930, in Batesville, Ohio to the late John and Helen (Cline) Clucus. Marie was a member of the of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temperanceville where she was a part of the Catholic Women's Club. She worked as a seamstress for Jonathon Logan. She was a member of the Ruritan and American Legion Auxillary Post 87. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Pfeffer on November 4, 2020; and sister, Lorena Mae Pfeffer. Marie is survived by her two sons, Kenny (Barb) Pfeffer and Danny (Mary) Pfeffer both of Quaker City; three grandchildren, Douglas (Rachel) Pfeffer, Ryan (Jamie) Pfeffer, and Chad (Amy) Pfeffer; eight great-grandchildren, Hannah, Leslie, William Charles "Chaz", Phoebe, Abby, Alex, Lily, and Rosemary; step-great-grandchild, Tyler Arick; and brother-in-law, Dennis Pfeffer. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2pm with Fr. Dave Cornett officiating at Batesville Cemetery in Batesville. Marie's care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to Hospice of Guernsey, 9711 East Pike, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
