Margaret C. Nesbitt, 99, of Barnesville, Ohio died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born on July 25, 1912 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to the late John and Eva (Sloan) Caughey. Margaret was a graduate of Geneva College in Pennsylvania and was a retired teacher of Bethesda, Flushing, and Union Local schools. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ruth Circle at church, was a Deacon and an Elder of the church, Tourist Club, Sewing Club, Homemakers Club, Barnesville Board of Education, Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library Board, Farm Bureau Women's Committee, Farm Bureau Council, Canasta Club, and a Volunteer at Barnesville Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - William Hill Nesbitt (2/13/1992); step-parents - George and Florence Stewart; sister - Esther O'Connor; granddaughter - Cara Lea Bagley; son-in-law - Thomas K. Hoover. Surviving are 2 sons - William G. (Susan) Nesbitt of Barnesville and Paul S. (Sandra) Nesbitt of Barnesville; daughter - Susan Hoover of Barnesville; 3 granddaughters - Erin (Mike) Abshire of Dunbar, West Virginia, Laura Nesbitt of Barnesville, and Amy Nesbitt of Barnesville; step-granddaughter - Peri Duffy of Barnesville; 8 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11 AM with Rev. Andrew Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
