Louis L. Dietrich, 96, of passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Inn At Summit Trail in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He was born on February 12, 1921, in Adams Township, Monroe County, Ohio.

He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and The Ohio State University.

Louis was a faithful member of the East Main Church of Christ, Barnesville, Ohio, having been a bible study teacher, church treasurer, and congregational song leader.

He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Boise (CL47).

In addition to his parents, Henry W. and Maude (Page) Dietrich, he was preceded in death by brothers, Walter G., Sammy J., and John P. Dietrich; sister, Rhea A. Forney; and a daughter, Rebecca E. Dietrich.

Louis is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Bernadine (Heaney) Dietrich; two sons, Larry D. (Linda) of Barnesville and Mark (Cheri) of Grove City, Ohio; daughter, Marcia D. (Ronald) Garvey of Thornville, Ohio; five grandsons, Brian L., Scott L. (Anne), Douglas A. (Rebecca), Ryan B (Amanda) Garvey, and Gregory (Katelyn) Garvey, six great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Dietrich of Sarasota, Florida; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM with Ev. Val Roxby officiating at the East Main Church of Christ, 329 East South Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio where military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
