Lodge L. Hanlon, 79, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, September 16, at The Ohio State Univeristy Ross Heart Center. He was born April 30, 1931 to the late Kenneth K. and Sara Lodge Hanlon. After graduating from Barnesville High School, he attended Kent State University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and later a Law Degree from The Ohio State College of Law. He was also a Certified Public Accountant and served in the US Air Force. He was a former Partner in the law firm of Hanlon, Estadt, McCormick & Schramm, as well as President of Hanlon Insurance Agency. He was honored in 2008 by the Belmont County Bar Association for 50 years as a practicing attorney. He was the founding member of the Barnesville Area Education Foundation and the Barnesville Community Foundation. He served on the Barnesville Exempted Village School Board, Belmont County Board of MRDD, Belco Crafts, and the Belmont County Joint Vocational School. He was past Exalted Ruler of Barnesville BPOE 1699, treasurer of the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival and an Elder of the Barnesville First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles C. Hanlon. Surviving are his wife of 49 years - Suzanne Williams Hanlon; daughter - Elizabeth (Rodney) Hanlon of Pataskala; 2 sons - Thomas of Barnesville and Ted (Kelley) of Barnesville and 4 grandchildren - Gage G., Lane L ., Avery A. and Regan R. Hanlon. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH. Funeral service 11 AM Monday at the Barnesville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andrew Woods. Burial in Crestview Cemetery.
