Leland L. Long, 102, of Barnesville, Ohio died Saturday, February 18, 2012. She was born June 27, 1909 to the late Vincent and Eliza J. Gilmore Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor L. Long (February 13, 1996); 4 Brothers: Hillard, Homer, Raymond and Vincent, Jr. Capenter; 4 Sisters: Atha Hashman, Naoma Hayes, Wilma McDermott and Ethel Lucas. She is survived by John and Sharon Thornton, with whom she made her home for the last 5 years, and nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11 am at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
