Kathy J. Johnson, 62, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home.  Kathy was born on August 3, 1955 in Barnesville, Ohio to Carol (Wyatt) Groves and the late Bernard Groves.

Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Barnesville High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. She was active for 35 years in the Girl Scouts where she was a service unit director most recently, past president of the Junior Women's Club, 2017 Barnesville Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, and was active in the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival Committee where she was the 2016 ribbon cutter.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Bobby Johnson; mother, Carol Groves of Barnesville; three daughters: Melissa Dodd of Barnesville, Jill (Tony) Gerschutz of Hilliard and Natalie (Jarrod) Anderson of Barnesville; four grandchildren: Logan Dodd, Lauren Gerschutz, Nicholas Gerschutz and Sadie Jo Anderson; sister, Connie Flood of Barnesville; brother, Bill Groves of New Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 3-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. Ted Buehl officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
