Kathy Renee Shrieve, 64, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 26, 1958, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late James Lloyd Francis and Marlene E. (Claypool) Francis. Kathy was a graduate of Union Local High School. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. She had been a cook at the Walton Retirement Home. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was notorious for her pranks and scaring people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donovan Shrieve. Kathy is survived by her children, Joe (Jenny) Thornton, Stacey (Matt) Hollida, D.J. Shrieve, and Christina Shrieve; grandchildren, Lexie (Bret), Skylar, Joey, Madison, Morgan, Macy, and Rayland; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Zayne; sister, Kim Krone; special uncle, Dave "Davey Boy" Francis; and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm with her son, Pastor Joe Thornton officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
