Kathryn J. Detling, 88, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the Barnesville Hospital. She was born on February 20, 1929, in Belmont County, Ohio to the late Euret Allen and Alice Lee (McFarling) Truex.

Kathryn was a member of the Somerton Church of Christ and was a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Detling on October 31, 1998; a brother, William E. "Bill" Truex; and a sister, H. Marie Shry.

Kathryn is survived by a son, David L. (Nancy) Detling of Barnesville; a daughter, Donna (Steve) Clark of Barnesville; four grandchildren, Doug Detling, Kelli (Travis) Wehr, Brianne Clark, and Brian Clark; two great-grandchildren, Ryland and Landyn Wehr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM with Ev. Kim McFarland officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery.
