Juanita Darlene Thornberry, 72, of Somerton, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born on May 21, 1945 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Lawrence Leonard and Ethel Juanita (Clift) Landefeld.

Darlene was a member of Somerton Church of Christ. She was a 1963 graduate of Woodsfield High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Landefeld; and twin grandsons, Gerald and Charles Hossman.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Thornberry whom she married on February 22, 1964; 3 daughters, Darla (Gerald) Hossman of Malaga, Wendi (Jeffrey) Miller of Somerton, and Traci (David) Carpenter of Shaker Heights, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Jeremi (Nicole) Hossman, Joshua (Heather) Hossman, Jonathan Miller, Jenna (Brandon) Brown, Darby Hossman, Dagan Hossman, Alexa Carpenter, and Adelyn Carpenter; and 2 great-grandchildren, Toxey and Titus Hossman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 5-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville where the service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 11 AM with Ev. Kim McFarland officiating. Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery in Somerton, Ohio.
