Joyce Mildred (Winland) Carpenter, 72, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 17, 1944 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late James Robert and Mildred Marie (Stephen) Winland.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a 1961 graduate of Barnesville High School and was a member of the West Main Street Church of Christ. She worked for Johnathan Logan and was a Nurse's Aide for the Barnesville Health Care Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Winland.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clyde "Pete" E. Carpenter; daughters, Sherri Reischman of Barnesville and Shaun (Cary) Leach of Jerusalem; grandchildren, Caitlin (Aaron) Wells of Barnesville, Mariah Leach of Jerusalem, and Hannah Leach of Jerusalem; brothers, J. Dean (Paula) Winland of Barnesville; step-children, Herbert Carpenter of Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania, Monica Adkins of Barnesville, and Carla Billy of New Lexington, Ohio; 6 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 nephews and 1 niece.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1 PM with Ev. Tony Huntsman officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
