Joyce Joanne (Basford) Lucas, 81, of Barnesville, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  Joanne was born on March 14, 1939 near Quaker City, Ohio to the late Ledrew R. and Edythe (Trott) Basford.

Joanne was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Barnesville Eastern Star.  She was a 1957 graduate of Batesville High School.  Joanne retired from Barnesville School System after 33 years as a bus driver.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Freddie Basford; and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Harry and Gladys Milhoan, Francis and Edna Jefferis, Nelson and Norma Fisher, and Fred Rinehart.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Lucas; son, Jay (Susan) Lucas; daughter, Brenda (Randy) Flood; sister, Phyllis Rinehart; sister-in-law, Delores Basford; grandchildren: Ryan Lucas, Trista (Corey) Wehr, T.J. (Debra Perdue) Warner, Samantha Flood, Gage Flood and Casen Flood.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
