Joseph "Pee Wee" Showalter, 74, of Bellaire, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 17, 1949 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Robert Neal and Daisy Irene (Tipton) Showalter. Pee Wee was a 1968 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a 697 teamster for Ace Pipeline. He was previously a truck driver, dispatcher, and safety director for J.W. Stenger Trucking for 25 years. Pee Wee loved golfing and hunting. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. In addition to his parents, Pee Wee was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Showalter; and sister, Sally Francis; sisters-in-law, Cindy Showalter, Debbie (Dale) Schleppi, and Patricia Summers; and brother-in-law, Dexter Baker Jr. Pee Wee is survived by his wife, Sue Showalter; children, Joseph (Amber Holbert) Showalter, Allisha Tolarchyk, Rhonda (Kurt) McGilton, Timothy Joseph (Tonya) Showalter, Casey (Jennifer) Showalter, Tonia Watkins, and Joseph (Annie) Namyslosky; 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and another on the way; siblings, Sandy Huntsman, Wanda (Donald) Giesey, Bernice (Bill) Gibbons, Melvin (Lois) Showalter, Richard Showalter, Earl (Diana) Showalter, and George (Donna) Showalter; sister-in-law, Brenda Showalter; brothers-in-law, Dave Francis and Anthony (Diane) Frakowski; his dogs, Lizzie and Jimbo; and several nieces, nephews; and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11:00am with Joseph Stenger officiating. Burial will follow at Sewellsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
