Joseph M. (Slevin) Slavin, 86, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Altercare in Cambridge.  Joe was born on May 25, 1935 in Belmont County, Ohio to the late G. Carl and Eva (DeLong) Slevin.

Joe was a 1953 graduate of Batesville High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Army during Vietnam where he served as a cook and was promoted to Sergeant.  After 19 years in the Army, he worked for the CIA.  Joe was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed nature and cooking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, F. Kenneth Slevin, E. "Gene" Slevin and Ernest "Neal" Slevin; and a sister, Audrey Kosla.

Joe is survived by his two sisters: Patricia Temple and Rosemary Stephen; and several nieces and nephews.

A military graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1pm with Guernsey County Veterans Council at St. Mary's Cemetery in Temperanceville, Ohio.  Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
