Joseph William "Joe" Lerner, 64, of Commercial Point, Ohio formerly of Temperanceville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Mount Caramel West in Columbus. He was born on November 6, 1951 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late John Norman and Mary Alice (McManus) Lerner.

Joe was a member of St. Mary's Church in Temperanceville and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Grove City and was a member of Good Guys Automotive Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Hughes) Bishop Lerner; 2 children, Michael (Valerie) Lerner of Delaware, Ohio and Sarah Anne (Matthew) Milton of Byesville; 2 step-children, Tammy (John) McCort of Temperanceville and Tim (Mandy) Bishop of Batesville; grandson, Brayden Lerner; step-grandchildren, Brandi Bailey and Ryan McCort; step great-grandchildren, Connor, Alaina, and Tyler Bailey; siblings, John Robert (Linda) Lerner of Cincinnati and Susan Elizabeth (Larry) Tharp of Cambridge; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 1-6 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where a Vigil service followed by the praying of the rosary will be conducted at 6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Dave Cornett and Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating at St. Mary's Church in Temperanceville, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

In the spirit of giving, Joe was able to donate his eyes so that others could see.  To honor his memory and his spirit of giving, memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the American Cancer Society or Kidney Cancer Association.
