Joseph "Butch" Kurtz, 69, of St. Clairsville, passed away September 19, 2014 in Martins Ferry.  He was born in Martins Ferry on July 7, 1945 to the late Joseph and Mary Ellen (Steen) Kurtz.

Butch was a piece worker for Belco Works and more recently attended Tomorrow's Corner Day Program in St. Clairsville.  Butch was a loving and happy man that made everyone laugh by mimicking what people said to him.  He loved to sing and listen to music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Mary Margaret Gibson Milhoan; sister, Vickie Carpenter; and aunt, Sarah Trimmer.

He is survived by a nephew, Guy Carpenter.  Butch was loved by everyone and will be missed by his family at the Donnerville Group Home in St. Clairsville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 11am until the time of service at 12pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
