Joseph "Bruce" Butler, 61, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Friday morning, November 29, 2013 at his home. He was born January 1, 1952 in Barnesville to Edward and Marjorie (Hall) Butler.

He retired after 40 years as a communication technician with Windstream. He was a member of Quaker City United Methodist Church, BPOE # 1699, Barnesville Boosters, 200 Club, and a lifetime member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by father-in-law - Melvin Kennon.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife - Debbie (Kennon) Butler; daughter - Staci (Carl) Graham of Barnesville; son - Eric Butler of Quaker City; granddaughter - Kaylee Graham; mother-in-law - Eva Pearl Kennon of Barnesville; 2 brothers - Clifford (Paula) Butler of Barnesville and Rick (Barb) Butler of Byesville; sister-in-law - Donna (Ronny) Carter; and nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio with Pastor John Carpenter officiating.  BPOE #1699 service will be held at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Barnesville Hospital or Hospice of Guernsey.
