Jon David Arnold, Sr., 76 of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Jon was born on January 21, 1945 in Barnesville, Ohio.

Jon was retired from the Army as an engineer and also the Ohio Department of Corrections BECI. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Friendship Lodge F&AM #89. He was a leader, mentor, and friend to many.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents Chester Burdette and Lucy (Carpenter) Stephens; and brother, Henry Burdette.

Jon is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann Arnold; son, Jon D. Arnold Jr.; granddaughter, Samantha Gayle Murphy; and sister, Mary Burdette.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required for the visitation on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 2pm until the time of the service at 4pm with Pastor Van Fisher officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  A Masonic Service will be held on Friday at 1:45pm with Military Honors given at 4:00pm.
