John "JD" Lucas, 43, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 12, 1978 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Gay L.  (Leach) Lucas and the late John T. Lucas.

JD was a 1996 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a hard worker. He loved fishing with the girls and the outdoors. Spending time with his family was what he enjoyed the most.

In addition to his father, JD was preceded in death by his brothers, Jason D. "Peck" Lucas and James D. "Jimmy" Lucas; infant son, Noah; grandparents, Sarabel and Danford Leach  and Eloise and James "Scottie" Lucas.

JD is survived by his daughters, Riley Fisher, Lilly Lucas, Ivy Lucas, Lilah Lucas, Brooklyn Lucas and an unborn son; life partner, Chelsea Lucas; mother, Gay Lucas; brother, Justin Lucas; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00pm with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
