John Allen O'Brien, 62, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He was born May 31, 1948 in Barnesville. He was a Catholic by faith, a member of VFW Post 2792, a truck driver and hog farmer. He was preceded in death by his mother - Kathleen O'Brien. Surviving are his father - John D. O'Brien; children - John R. (Missy) O'Brien, Jeannie (Tom) Hannahs and Joni (Jason) Carpenter all of Barnesville; 7 grandchildren - Hannah Travis, Casey, Tori and Briar Hannahs, Aaron Smith, Sydney and Jackson Carpenter; 2 great grandchildren - Cayden and Colton VanHorn and significant other - Barb Workman. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 with services being held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, OH with Msgr Mark Froehlich officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
