Joann Evans Smith, 93, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. Joann was born in Cambridge, Ohio on March 20, 1926, to the late Evan R, and Erscel (Maple) Evans.

Joann was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church and a 1944 graduate of Cambridge Brown High School.

In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Smith whom she married on December 26, 1954; and three sisters: Louise Sherrard, Betty Andrews and Ruth Tilton.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Suann Smith (Philip) Andes of Shadyside, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 1pm until the time of the service at 5pm at Campbell-Plumly-MIlburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio with Pastor Van Fisher officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joann's name to the Barnesville First United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
