Jesse James Newlen, 43, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born on November 10, 1982, in Marietta, Ohio to the Hanna D. (Newlen) Francis and Frank Slonaker.
Jesse was a 2002 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was employed in the bakery at Riesbeck's in Barnesville.
Jesse was a devoted father who deeply loved his children and took great pride in being involved in their lives. He enjoyed helping coach both of his children in their sports, cherishing the time spent supporting and encouraging them.
In his free time, Jesse had a passion for music-especially Ozzy Osbourne and Pink Floyd-as well as video games and playing on his computer.
Jesse was preceded in death by his brothers, Jacob Newlen and Josh Newlen.
Jesse is survived by his high school sweetheart, Brooke Ann (Krone) Newlen whom he married on November 14, 2025; two children, Wyatt Newlen and Addy Newlen both of the home; brothers, Jeremy (April) Newlen and Justin Newlen; several nieces & nephews; and his Nin (Kim Krone).
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11am with Dexter Wilson with words of comfort held at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jesse's memory to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 322, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 or on his obituary to assist the family in the costs of memorial services during this unimaginable time.
