Jean A. Reed, 76, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1948 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late John Gibson and Mary Lee (Jones) Gibson-Hulit. Jean was a 1966 graduate of Barnesville High School. She is a member of the East Main Church of Christ. Throughout her life Jean took on various roles, she was formerly a member of the Barnesville Chamber of Commerce, the Junior Women's Club, Barnesville Pumpkin Festival Committee, and she also volunteered for Hospice. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her infant brother, Daniel Jay Gibson. Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Reed; sons, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Reed and Scott (Wendie) Reed; grandchildren, Allison (Kyle) Wilson and Gage Reed; great-grandson, Blake Wilson; three brothers, Jim (Glenna) Gibson, Thomas (Doris) Gibson; Arthur (Rise') Gibson; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025 at 11:00am with Ev. Val Roxby officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio.
