Janet A. (Milligan) Smith Nelson, 76, of Winslow, Nebraska formerly of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in Fremont, Nebraska. She was born on January 24, 1939 in Beallsville, Ohio to the late Harry and Clara (Moore) Milligan.

Janet was former owner and operator of Town & Country Flowers in Barnesville. She also worked as a bookkeeper and was an avid bridge player.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister - Jeane Lake.

She is survived by her husband - Edwin Nelson; son - D. Brent Smith of Atlanta; daughters - Suzanne Hope (Farhad) Ghaffari of Hampton, Virginia and D. Renee' (David) Hunter of Barnesville; and grandchildren - Amber Hunter, Ryan Hunter, Amanda (David) Whelan, Michael (Carissa) Ghaffari, and Kevin Ghaffari.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 12 PM until 3 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will take place at Stillwater Friends Cemetery in Barnesville.
