Janet Armstrong Ball passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 on her 97th birthday at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born in Barnesville to the late Henry B. and Della (Ault) Armstrong.

She was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church and former member of the Barnesville Lilac Twig, Barnesville Mother's Club and Bridge Club. After her father passed away in 1964, she operated the Armstrong Jewelry Store for 11 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - William W. "Bill" Ball; and sister - Dorcas Armstrong Shores.

Janet is survived by her daughters - Pam (Mel) Milburn of Barnesville and Nancy (Chip) Stork of Dayton; 3 grandchildren - Mindy (Matt) Johnson of Barnesville, Natalie (TJ) Doan of Westerville, Ohio, and Chase (Brandi Gregor) Milburn of Barnesville; 4 great-grandchildren with one on the way -  Payne and Hank Johnson, and Jack and Liam Doan; sister - Lois (Harris) Young of Collinsville, IL; brother-in-law - Stan (Bev) Shores of Cincinnati; nephews - Terry (Elaine) Young of Cincinnati and Don (Lydia) Young of Advance, MO; and good friend and caregiver - Ruth Anderson of Barnesville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 4-7 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11 AM with Pastor Ted Buehl and Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Burial will follow at Southern Cemetery in Barnesville.
