James H. Good, 79, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Forest Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 10, 1945 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Harry J. and Betty (Cordery) Famo. Jim was a graduate of Sturgis Michigan High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy from 1964 to 1967, he served on the great ship of Harry E. Yarnell. He was a member of the Bethel Church and Salesville Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. Jim was a coal miner for Y&O Coal Company, he was a school bus driver for Union Local School District and he also worked for the Village of Belmont for 15 years. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his half brother, Jim Black; and his best buddy- his dog, Herbie. Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley (Stephens) Good; daughter, Jennifer Jo (Jason Sears) Beck;step-sons, Joe Adkins and Tom (Katherine) Adkins; grandchildren, Nova Leigh Knierim, Shelby (Maxdale) Hammons, and Madison Farmer, and Dylan (Stephanie) Adkins; great-greandchildren, Andie Katherine Adkins, Orion Knierim, Maxdale Hammons IV, and Selena Hammons; sisters, Dixie Good and Patricia Geilinger; and beloved nieces and nephews. Honoring Jim's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Jim's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
