Jacques Thomas Bishop, 79, of Barnesville, OH died Wednesday morning, July 6, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Dr. George C. and Corinne (Bump) Bishop. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He was an auto parts manager for the former Barnesville Auto Supply and was a member of the Barnesville Assumption Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother - Eric Bishop; and a nephew - Joseph Bishop. Surviving are his wife - Margaret Ann "Peggy" (Cornett) Bishop; 2 sons - George (Cathy) Bishop of Quaker City and David (Charla Dain) Bishop of Tuscon, AZ; 2 daughters - Mary (Dave) Monaghan of Colfax, WA and Julie (Dave) Swallie of Hilliard, OH; 7 grandchildren - Maggie (Anthony) Neiswonger, Abigail Bishop, Jacqueline Monaghan, Melissa Monaghan, Jared Monaghan, Justin Swallie, and Eric Swallie; 2 great-grandchildren - Max Swallie and Kamryn Neiswonger. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10 AM at Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville, OH, with Msgr. Mark Froehlich. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barnesville Library Computer Fund or the Assumption Church Heating and Air Conditioning Fund.
