Helen Pauline VanFossen, 94, of Bethesda died Monday, April 18, 2016.  She was born in Barnesville on November 28, 1921 to the late Paul Vernon and Ella (Baker) Pickens.

Helen was a Methodist by faith.  She was an avid quilter and enjoyed playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard VanFossen; and two children: Richard Allen VanFossen and Helen Nannette VanFossen.

Helen is survived by her five children: Linda Kay Bumgardner of Cambridge, Karen Ann VanFossen of Bethesda, Paul Donald (Lori Lee)  VanFossen of Orville, John Edward (Betty)  VanFossen of Barberton and Larry Raymond (Joyce) VanFossen of Canal Fulton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm with Cindy Ward officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
