Harold G. "Butch" Mankin, 60, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, January 14, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born on January 27, 1961, in Columbus, Indiana to the late William Frederick and Virginia "Ginny" (McElfresh) Mankin. Butch was a 1979 graduate of Union Local High School. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 186 in Steubenville. He was a hardworking family man who enjoyed a good cookout. He loved to cook and was much better than his daughter. He adored his grandson, "little buddy", and followed him anywhere he wanted. Butch and Jana went together like "words and music." Butch was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, LaReeda (Ron) Isaacs, Freeda (Wilbur) Kirk, and Bea Swallie; brother, Frederick Allen Mankin; and brother-in-law, Jerry Snyder. Butch is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jana (Burns) Mankin whom he married on June 20, 1987; daughter, Maci Guy of Barnesville, and grandson, Landen Guy of Barnesville; siblings, LaVeeda Allen, Toni (AJ DeShong) Billetter, LaNeeda Todd, Candy (Jay) Stein, Dave (Wendy) Mankin, and Jacki Snyder; brother-in-law, Steve Swallie; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his beloved cat, Vinny. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm with his brother-in-law, Jeff Burns officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
